News from the Western Front

Came back just yesterday at around what...6 pm? Back in this rat hole that is Glendon. This isolated place far from human activity such as shopping or fun. A place where the key to entertainment starts with b and finishes with eer. The place with authentic school cuisine, where the cafeteria closes at 9 pm on weekdays, 7 on fridays and weekends... and 6 during exam periods, when people stay up even later than usual to study during the last straight road to their exams.
Enjoying the striking smell of a certain combination of feet, sweat, body odor, unclean rooms and piles of garbage through the hallway, I am soothed to notice that I did lock my room door while leaving in a hurry 2 weeks ago to catch the taxi to the airport to go back to France. My room hasn't change. The garbage is still full, the window is still open, my wardrobe too, and my bed is still not tidy and arrange. Only two changes have appeared during my absence: my alarm clock was blinking indicating some early morning time in this late afternoon hour, and a certain smell of old garbage was discreetly floating about despite the open window and the chilly temperature. Good old room. I turned it into a prison cell with just a pornographic poster, bits of trash on the floor, an unclean bed, and unfolded towels.
I installed my technological apparatus, my dell laptop and my two external hard drives, including a new one I had just gotten for xmas. After settling down and partially unpacking my luggages and bag, I randomly went on some websites including my computer class's website to figure out to my utter surprise and astonishment that I had received a grade of 35/100 on my final exam (Excel...) and an overall grade of E. Fantastic. All I needed even more to make my day miserable and turn myself emo. Apparently 4 of my labs were not graded or received by the teacher although he had checked it in class and given me full grades with some bonii sometimes. A comment read: please see me in my office January 8th at 3.30 to discuss this matter. Son of a bitch! We were the 8th, and it was 6 pm, too late for that! Now the onus was mine, I had to get back to him and see him another time if he accepted it, he could also reject it but I don't think he'll be hard on this one. Otherwise it'll have to go to the authorities.
If I don't get at least an overall grade of C+ I will not be able to transfer to Keele, the main campus, where the abundant restaurants don't close until 12 am, and where all the fun really happens. A city of its own, with an arcade, a cyber cafe, a bubble tea shop, (pff they're everywhere in this country anyway...unlike France which has like one shop only!) constantly increasing in size, and infrastructure over the years.
Sigh. Very depressing indeed. An E after all these labs. But after a couple episodes of Futurama, Scary Movie 2 and a good night sleep (ish) I woke up this morning feeling better and having got my mind cleaned up and in a better shape.

In other news, it's snowing, bitch! And its pretty cool since it's powder snow. It actually holds!!! The snow looks like crack, and when the wind blows there are little trails of snow that are blown off, it looks like sand or dust! The snow has come at the same time as I did. I hope it will snow more so that I can finally wear my Kenny suit and freeze my balls blue!

From Toronto with snooooow (but not a lot),
